300 grams dried fruit (figs, plums, apricots)
200 ml Amaretto
250 grams margarine
250 grams icing sugar
125 ground almonds
125 ground pistachio nuts
250 grams plain flour
6 eggs
The day before, marinate the dried fruit in amaretto so as to let the flavours mingle.
Mash the dried fruit. in a blender.
Beat the butter with the icing sugar in the mixer and add the ground almonds and pistachios.
Add the eggs one by one and then gradually the flour.
Mix everything well in the mixer and then add the mashed fruit.
Put the mixture into a cake tin (diameter 30cm), and bake for 1 hour in a pre-heated oven at 180°C.
